Permanent Supportive Housing

When homeless persons have stabilized, with the help of caring and resourceful case managers, it remains difficult to locate affordable and safe permanent housing in Wichita. Inter-Faith Ministries offers that safe, affordable housing as well as case managers to help formerly homeless individuals and families remain stable with a caring case manager to help them through the rough spots of adjusting back into society.

With the goal of providing affordable, safe, and community-based housing, twenty-four refurbished apartments at the former site of Victory in the Valley have been added to Inter-Faith Ministries permanent housing project. Pam Beavers serves as case manager, offering support and guidance to the residents, some of whom were once homeless, so that they may live self-sufficiently and as productive members of the community. The dedication ceremony for Inter-Faith Villa North and the Cessna Supportive Services Center was held June 24, 2004. The CSSC, made possible by a gift from the Cessna Foundation, is located at the front entryway. It is a place where residents can visit with the case manager and have access to laundry facilities.
