On any given school day, 152,304 Kansas kids will eat free and reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program.
School breakfast and lunch programs allow America’s children to learn and succeed at school. Students who eat school breakfasts increase their math and reading scores. The National School Lunch Program provides a nutritionally balanced meal, which improves behavior, school performance, and overall cognitive development.
Hungry kids can’t learn and school meals give all children a good start at school.
